JLS Star to co-host glitzy London Ladies Lunch
JB Gill, the singer, performer and television presenter who starred in the English R&B boy band JLS, has been announced as the co-host at Caudwell Children’s annual London Ladies Lunch, on Friday 24th November, 2017.
The 30 year old will team up with Tom Lister, who played former Emmerdale arch villain Carl King, to preside over the exclusive afternoon of fashion, food, beauty and entertainment at the renowned Langham Hotel, Regen Street, London.
JB shot to fame in 2008 when JLS finished as runners-up to Alexandra Burke in the fifth series of the ITV reality talent show The X Factor.
The band went on to notch five number one records in the UK Singles Chart and released five studio albums, whilst also netting multiple MOBO and BRIT awards.
The band split in 2013 completing their time together with a goodbye tour and greatest hits album.
JB, now a presenter on BBC One’s Songs of Praise, was the first member of the band to release solo material when he launched his debut single, Best Night of My Life, in 2014.
Tickets for the London Ladies Lunch include a two course gourmet lunch, luxury goody bag and top class entertainment. As Sam Walker, Events Manager at Caudwell Children explained: “We’ve been lucky enough to have had Dean Andrews, who starred in Life on Mars, Waterloo Road and Last Tango in Halifax, entertain our guests with singing and informal chat in the past.
“And last year Julias Cowdrey, the up and coming singer and songwriter who also starred in the BAFTA award-winning TV series Made in Chelsea, performed at the London Ladies Lunch.”
Sam says that the event offers a unique shopping and networking experience whilst raising vital funds for disabled children.
“Although it’s a high class afternoon the Ladies Lunch will be delivered in a wonderfully relaxed manner by our hosts JB and Tom,” said Sam. “This makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience and amidst the shopping, dining and entertainment there will be plenty of laughs.
“So with limited availability I would advise interested parties to buy their ticket now to avoid disappointment.”
The afternoon also involves a raffle, auction and silent auction, and with the opulent nature of the event it’s guaranteed that there will be some ‘must have’ goodies up for grabs.
Standard tickets for the London Ladies Lunch are £170 per person or £1,600 for a table of 10. This includes a glass of Champagne on arrival, an allocation of wine and a two course lunch.
VIP tickets are £220 per person or £2,000 for a table of 10 and includes premium seating, VIP goody bag, Champagne on arrival an allocation of wine and a two course meal.
