Centre Parcs Longleat
27/01/2012
Hi CC Friends
Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog of 2012.
Today, I have just arrived back from a four day break at Centre Parcs Longleat. I had an amazing time. Joining me and my mum on this break were, my Grandad , ( who nearly didn't come, even though it was arranged as a birthday treat, my mums friend Ruth, her husband Colin, and their recently born daughter Olivia. Mum helped get their older daughter Charlie a place at my old school, Trailer School, which is how we know them.
We stayed a six bedroom cabin, was very cosy, and we brought our own food, as mum didn't want to over spend.
We did a lot of rambling around the site in the mornings, and I really enjoyed our two evening swims in the nearby pool, which had a whirl pool. This was great fun as no matter how hard you tried, you could never control where it took you!
The best part of the break though was the company, especially little Olivia. She is so adorable. The only problem was that she has a monstrous appetite and was always hungry, so all we would hear was waaah! , which is baby language for "mummy, give me my milk now! Mind you I think it was lest about the milk, and more about wanting attention, as she is not use to her mum and dad talking to anybody else but her. For me, I didn't mind her crying, as it is lovely to hear/ see something new, that I dont have in my home life. I am very soft with little ones always have been, I am even careful about what songs I play around them. Therefore songs such as S And M by Rihanna are a no-no when I am with little kids, because I do not want to be blamed for making them grow up too fast.
I also had a period of down time where I watched my two favourite game shows Deal Or No Deal and The Chase.
So yes, I had a great time and would go there again as it is so much better than Warners Littlecote Hotel for younger people.
