Tasha Coupe brought a touch of salt-of-the-earth glamour to the glass box when we took the campaign to Blackburn. The former St. Wilfred’s Academy student began her challenge at Noon on Thursday 4th May, and despite just 6 hours sleep at the Hill Street store, successfully completed her 50 hours, raising over £3000 in the process.
Ahead of her self-imposed exile, Tasha knew the 2 things she would miss the most: Her young daughter Oaklie, and her mobile phone! The 25-year-old just about coped without tucking her little girl in bed each night, but really struggled without instant access to her social media!
Coverage from Lancashire Telegraph and BBC Lancashire helped to fulfil our objectives of generating more awareness, acceptance and understanding of autism, while raising funds for Caudwell Children.
