Faber Catholic Primary School, in Cotton, near Stoke-on-Trent, has teamed up with Caudwell Children to raise funds for the school and disabled children in the county.

The small, rural, primary school, which caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11 years, has partnered with the charity to produce Christmas cards for its pupils.

When leaders at the school discovered that our in-house multimedia design team deliver a creative design and print service, for external clients and supporters, they immediately commissioned the charity to print their pupils Christmas card designs.

As assistant Head teacher, Katie Harris, explained: “Every year our pupils design their own Christmas cards which we then get reproduced by a local printer.

“One pound, from each pack comes directly to the school whilst the remainder goes on the print costs.

“Once we found out that Caudwell Children’s design team could produce the cards it was an obvious choice to use them.

“We encourage our children to respect and consider others and by supporting Caudwell Children in this way, we are not only helping to raise funds for them, we are also helping our pupils to understand the diverse needs of children across our community.”

Joe Merritt, Digital and Design Manager at Caudwell Children, is delighted by the commission and says that by using the charity’s services the school will be making a positive impact on the lives of disabled children. As she explained: “Our design and print services make a difference, it’s as simple as that! All the funds raised through our design team go directly to helping change disabled children’s lives.

“Every single penny that we make through printing these cards will be spent on the specialist equipment, sensory packs, short break activity days, fully supported holidays and sports equipment that we deliver to disabled children throughout Staffordshire and beyond.”

Katie concluded: “Why would we get our cards printed anywhere else when printing them through Caudwell Children is so affordable, and has such a direct and immediate impact on the lives of disabled children?”
