West End star to sing at charity London Ladies Lunch
Tom Lister, the actor, singer and performer who’s currently starring in the smash hit, West End Musical, 42ND Street, is to sing at Caudwell Children’s annual London Ladies Lunch, on Friday 24th November, 2017.
The 39 year old, who also appeared in the popular television soap, Emmerdale, as arch villain Carl King, will perform at the exclusive afternoon of fashion, food, beauty and entertainment held at the renowned Langham Hotel, Regent Street, London.
The event, which runs from 11am-3pm, will see guests enjoying a Champagne reception before they browse a variety of stalls featuring local and national retailers of luxury goods, including handbags, independent clothing and beauty products.
Lister says he’s happy to take time out from performing alongside Sheena Easton, at the Theatre Royal, to support the national charity, which provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families. As he explained: “They charity is very close to my heart and I support them as often as I can. I attend its annual golf event and I’ve hosted a number of Ladies Lunches up in Cheshire.
“They’re fantastic events and those who attend have a fabulous time. I love having a bit of tongue in cheek banter with the guests, plus I also get to sing one or two songs.”
Tickets also include a two course gourmet lunch, luxury goody bag and top class entertainment. As Sam Walker, Events Manager at Caudwell Children explained: “We’ve been lucky enough to have had Dean Andrews, who starred in Life on Mars, Waterloo Road and Last Tango in Halifax, entertain our guests with singing and informal chat in the past.
“And last year Julias Cowdrey, the up and coming singer and songwriter who also starred in the BAFTA award-winning TV series Made in Chelsea, performed at the London Ladies Lunch.”
Sam says that the event offers a unique shopping and networking experience whilst raising vital funds for disabled children.
“Although it’s a high class afternoon the Ladies Lunch will be delivered in a wonderfully relaxed manner,” said Sam. “This makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience and amidst the shopping, dining and entertainment there will be plenty of laughs.
“So with limited places available I would advise interested parties to buy their ticket now to avoid disappointment.”
The afternoon also involves a raffle, auction and silent auction, and with the opulent nature of the event it’s guaranteed that there will be some ‘must have’ goodies up for grabs.
Standard tickets for the London Ladies Lunch are £170 per person or £1,600 for a table of 10. This includes a glass of Champagne on arrival, an allocation of wine and a two course lunch.
