Architectural solution providers generous donation
Lloyd Worrall Group, one of the country’s leading architectural solutions providers, has helped to raise £10,500 for Caudwell Children.
The company, which has offices in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield and London, decided to raise the funds after being contracted to work on the soon to be opened Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Keele, North Staffordshire.
The centre will be the new HQ of Caudwell Children, and the 60,000sqft state-of-the-art building will be the UK’s first independent purpose-built facility dedicated to providing multi-disciplinary assessment, support and research of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism.
Claire Spooner, Marketing Manager for Lloyd Worrall Group, is delighted that the company has been involved in the build and that the Group could also support the charity. As she explained: “We’ve been supplying the building industry with architectural solutions since 1946, so we were extremely happy when we were contracted by the architect to work on this ground breaking project.
“We supplied 150 doorsets throughout the building, complete with ironmongery, and we also supplied and installed the handrail and balustrade package that is such a feature of the main reception area of the building.
“But what’s also really pleasing is that we approached our main suppliers on the project to lend their support to the charity, and they didn’t disappoint us.”
Jeld-Wen Denmark, Photoscreen, ZOO Hardware, ASSA Abloy and Grafton Group plc, the parent company of Lloyd Worrall Group, sponsored a bundle of doorsets to support the build and on-going facilities of the centre.
“We can’t thank them enough for their generosity,” said Claire. “They raised an impressive £10,500 for the charity, which is amazing!”
Trudi Beswick, Chief Executive of Caudwell Children, said: “This is an extremely generous gesture from all those concerned.
“The children we support are at the heart of everything Caudwell Children does and this facility will be a true reflection of our approach.”
