Advisory Board Member

We are currently seeking members to join our Clinical Services & Research Advisory Group to help shape the future of autism and childhood disability services.

In this voluntary position you will play a pivotal role in the scrutiny and development of this innovative charity’s services and research portfolio. Caudwell Children are seeking expressions of interest from:

  • Experts Through Experience
  • Clinical Professionals
  • Academic Researchers

Process methods:

  • Meetings will be held at least bi-annually
  • Agenda items will be generated by Caudwell Children
  • A meeting of the Advisory Group may be held in person, by video or telephone conference (or a combination of these) provided this allows each member to take part in the meeting
  • Most in-person meetings will be held at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre, Keele University, Staffordshire

Roles and Responsibilities of Advisory Group Members:

  • Developing an understanding of the charity, market and industry trends
  • Provide “wise council” on issues raised by directors or management
  • Provide unbiased insights and ideas from a third point-of-view (not involved in the operation of the charity)
  • Encourage and support the exploration of new charity ideas
  • Act as a resource for executives
  • Provide social networking platform for directors and the company
  • Encourage the development of a governance framework that enables sustainable growth of the charity
  • Monitor charity performance
  • Impose challenges to directors and management that could improve the charity; it’s clinical provision and research objectives
  • Consider and monitor risk related to clinical and research activities
