Employment Support Worker
This is a unique opportunity based in a state of the art multi-award winning building, where you will join an ambitious charity with the role of transforming the lives of autistic young people age 16 to 25 supporting them into employment.
This Employment Support project is a new development for the charity and an opportunity to really make a difference to the lives of young people with autism. You will implement our plan reaching out to autistic young people to help them make the transition from education and further education to join the workforce.
You will work as part of our Service Delivery Team, in close collaboration with our autism service and our digital skills partner, Risual, who provide digital skills training.
You will lead on creating applications to the employment support service, work with young people on a one to one basis using a person centred approach, create an Employment Action Plan for each young person in collaboration with them and provide appropriate support and training to enable young people to secure and sustain paid employment in the digital skills industry.
You will require skills in relating to prospective employees and employers, a leadership approach exemplified by innovation and creativity to passionately seek and drive employment opportunities. We carry out research into the effectiveness of all our activities and your work will be part of this programme.
This is a fixed term position initially to 31st August 2022.
