Volunteer Manager

Volunteers are the beating heart of Caudwell Children and without their selfless commitment to the charity we could not continue to positively impact the lives of thousands of children and families every year. 

Therefore this permanent post is an important part of the charity’s operational delivery, with the responsibility for ensuring volunteers are given a rewarding experience and to ensure integration and retention of the volunteers.

You will also ensure all department line mangers provide effective training for volunteers across the charity and will co-ordinate a large number of volunteers on a daily basis who perform a variety of tasks in several departments.

The post is essential in ensuring that volunteers who are willing to give us their time and energy have a rewarding experience whilst also positively contributing to the organisation and the vital services we provide.

You will be primarily responsible for the development and delivery of the training programme and accompanying action plan, maximising the use of volunteer resources to support the charity’s objectives, demonstrating a high retention of volunteers and building partnerships with medical and non-medical voluntary organisations and promoting volunteering opportunities across the organisation.
