Childrens’ Activities Week 2019 – Parents

Children’s Activities Week has finished for another year and we would like to say a huge thanks to every person who took part and sponsored this fantastic event.
We shall be announcing the fundraising total very soon and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

Children's Activities
Week 2019

We’re so proud to be the charity partner
of Children’s Activities Week this year.

Children’s Activities Week 13th – 17th May 2019

This Children’s Activities Week we’re joining forces with all the clubs, classes and activities that take place every day to raise vital funds to enable Caudwell Children to change the future for children with autism and their families.

An estimated 2.5 million people are directly affected by autism every day in the UK. With your help we can provide the support children need to reach their full potential.

How will the money be spent?

Caudwell Children

Too often families fight for months or even years to get an assessment and diagnosis for their child. After receiving a diagnosis, families often receive little or no support.

Caudwell Children aim to provide multidisciplinary assessments, practical interventions and support through their ground-breaking new autism service.

Just £10 will help pay for an autistic child to receive life-changing support, maybe even for somebody you know.

Children’s Activities Association (CAA)

The CAA is the first not-for-profit, industry-led organisation to raise standards in all organised children’s activities across the UK. It provides you as a parent/carer with a swift way to get peace of mind knowing your chosen provider has signed up to an official code of practice and is working towards, or has achieved, independent CAA accreditation.

All funds raised will be shared between Caudwell Children (80%) and the Children’s Activities Association (20%).

The theme

This year’s theme is #WatchMeFly, so get prepared to dress yourself and your little one in your favourite flying-themed outfits for your classes during Children’s Activities Week (13th – 17th May). There are no rules, just be as creative and crazy as you like!

Your activity provider will have carefully chosen a sponsored challenge that’s suitable for your child – whatever it is, it’ll be lots of fun!

It’s just 3 simple steps to set up your sponsorship online via Virgin Money Giving.

Then ask everyone you know to sponsor your little one!

Prizes & certificates

To say ‘thank you’ for taking part, every child who fundraises will receive a digital certificate to proudly display on their wall or fridge door! We’ll email you more info about how to access your certificate at the end of Children’s Activities Week.

In addition:

  • Children who raise £15+ will receive a Certificate + Fun Gift
  • Children who raise £50+ will receive a Certificate + Fun Gift + Storybook
  • Children who raise £250+ will receive a Certificate + Fun Gift + Storybook + Gift Voucher

We’ve also got some special surprise guests lined-up to visit selected activities during the week – you never know, your class could be one of them!

Together we can change the lives of thousands of children with autism. Will you join us?
