Charity announces date for London ‘Ladies Lunch’

Caudwell Children, the national charity that provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families, has announced the date of its annual ‘Ladies Lunch’ event in London.

The charity, which also holds the prestigious Butterfly Ball, in Mayfair each year, will be bringing its unique brand of luxury to a new, award winning venue The Landmark London, 222 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 6JQ, an historic hotel combining modern amenities with classic style.

The ‘Ladies Lunch’ will take place on Friday 11th October, 2019, and will run from 11.00am-3.30pm.

Opened in 1899 The Landmark London, originally named the Great Central Hotel, was the last great Victorian hotel and coincided with the opening of Grand Central Station, now Marylebone Station.

Its décor and interior furnishings surpassed all previous hotels for opulence and luxury and, arguably, that remains to this day.

So there could be no more fitting venue for the fourth London the ‘Ladies Lunch’, an exclusive afternoon of fashion, food, beauty and entertainment where guests enjoy champagne whilst browsing stalls featuring local and national retailers of luxury goods; including handbags, independent clothing now boutiques and beauty products.

Tickets also include a two course gourmet lunch, luxury goody bag and top class entertainment. As Kate McMahon, Events Manager at Caudwell Children explained: “Last year Darius Campbell-Danesh, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, actor and film producer, together with Jake Quickenden, the singer and reality television personality who first rose to fame on X Factor, performed at the event.

“It was sensational and they had the ladies in the palm of their hands but it’s been no different every year.

“In 2017 Tom Lister, who played arch villain Carl King in Emmerdale, and who recently starred in the West End musical 42nd Street, hosted and performed at our Ladies Lunch.

“We were also lucky enough to have JB Gill, who enjoyed huge success with the multiple BRIT and MOBO Award winning boy band JLS, join Tom on the bill.”

Kate says that the ‘Ladies Lunch’ offers a unique shopping and networking experience whilst raising vital funds for disabled children.

“Although it’s a high class afternoon the event is delivered in a wonderfully relaxed manner by our host, which makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience,” said Kate. “Amid the shopping, dining and entertainment there will be plenty of laughs.

“We’ll be announcing the names of our celebrity hosts and performers shortly, and with limited tickets available I would advise interested parties to buy their tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

An additional attraction at this year’s event is that all ticket holders will be invited to an After Party at the London nightclub Mahiki, just of Piccadilly, the favourite haunt of royals including Prince William and Harry and celebrities such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kelly Rowland and Paris Hilton.

“Everyone who attends the after party will be welcomed with a complimentary cocktail,” said Kate. “It’s going to be great fun and we’re expecting some high class, results!”

The ‘Ladies Lunch’ will also involve a raffle, auction and silent auction, and with the opulent nature of the event there will be some ‘must-have’ goodies up for grabs.

Standard tickets for the London ‘Ladies Lunch’ are £190 per person or £1,800 per table of 10 and include a glass of bubbles on arrival, a two course lunch and a goody bag.

VIP tickets are £260 per person or £2,450 per table of 10 and includes premium seating, a goody bag, a glass of bubbles on arrival, and an allocation of Champagne, wine and water with lunch.

Since 2000 Caudwell Children has helped over 20,000 children with services worth over £37 million.

The charity is unique in that a single benefactor covers all the administration and management costs so that 100% of all donations go directly to the children it supports.
