FREE October Half-Term Halloween Activity Clubs
Caudwell Children, the Staffordshire based charity that provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families, has announced that it is to run a number of FREE Halloween Activity Clubs for disabled children, and those with additional needs, in Staffordshire during the October Half-Term holiday.
The fun packed sessions will be delivered in partnership with Creation Station, a national franchise that provides educationally based creative arts and crafts programmes that use creativity to unlock potential.
The three hour sessions, open to children and young people up to the age of 18, are designed to spark each participant’s natural curiosity and help them to create their own fun journeys of exploration, discovery, self-learning and development.
“Creation Station was established in 2002 and since then they have developed into a multi-award winning, five-star rated company,” explained Becky Deri from Caudwell Children. “Each week they help over 14,500 children to have fun through their hands-on activities and products.
“And this Half-Term they have, naturally, developed a range of Halloween inspired activities that will capture the imagination of participants and get them in the mood for trick or treating!”
Becky says that the Creation Station team are always raring to go and inject enormous levels of energy and enthusiasm into their highly enjoyable sessions.
“They arrive armed with paint, glue and glitter to inspire children and young people and the Halloween sessions will be no different,” enthused Becky. “Attendees will be able to make their own bat-tastic bunting, create a skeleton lantern out of a plastic bottle, paint a pumpkin, build their own pasta skeleton and much, much, more!”
The session, funded by Aiming High Staffordshire, will also help to develop skills, confidence and self-esteem, whilst having fun.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for children to get out of the house and have some fun during the October Half-Term,” continued Becky. “Taking part in our Activity Clubs has been shown to help increase socialisation and encourage communication, whilst reducing boredom and anxiety and all the sessions will be inspiring, educational and interactive.”
Siblings are welcome but parents and guardian must remain for the duration of the session.
Becky says that the charity’s activity days have always been extremely popular and is encouraging parents to get in touch as soon as possible as there are a limited number of places available.
The Halloween Activity Clubs will take place on the following dates:
- Saturday 26th October, 2019, 10.30am, Tamworth
- Saturday 26th October, 2019, 2.00pm, Lichfield
