The TCS London Marathon is the ultimate running challenge and is the most popular marathon in the world, with more than one million people completing the 26.2-mile course since its first edition in 1981.The route takes you through some of the city’s most famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

We know that running the London Marathon will test your limits to the extreme, but we want you to join our team and be part of something amazing. By choosing to run for Caudwell Children you will be guaranteed a place in the TSC London Marathon, not only that but you will be helping to change lives, enabling us to create a better world for disabled children and their families, there is no better reason than that.

The 2025 Public Ballot for the TCS London Marathon is open from the 20th to 27th April 2024 or you can skip the ballot and apply to run for Caudwell Children in the 2025 TCS London Marathon!

You must be 18 years old to run in the London Marathon. There is a registration fee of £100 and a £2,500 minimum fund-raising target. Register your interest below and a member of the challenges team will be in touch.

Public Ballot Places:

If you were lucky enough to secure a ballot place, you can still join our team! You will get all of the same benefits as our charity place runners but without a minimum sponsorship target and registration fee. All we ask is that you raise as much as you can. How we will support you

Running the London Marathon isn’t easy, that’s why by joining our team, Caudwell Children will be there to support you every step of the way.

We will:

  • Supply you with a personalised Caudwell Children running vest
  • Help you with your training plans and fundraising ideas
  • Give you access to our WhatsApp group where you can meet, support and share ideas with other Caudwell Children runners

London Marathon FAQs

The TCS London Marathon is a 26.2 miles run that first took place in 1981 and has become one of the most popular marathons in the world. The route takes in many of London’s best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

To participate in the TCS London Marathon you need to be aged 18 years or older and complete an application form by contacting us.

Upon successful application, participants with a Caudwell Children TCS London Marathon place are required to pay a £100 registration fee and commit to raising £2,500.

Participants will receive guidance and support from our dedicated Events Team.

The official TCS London Marathon fundraising platform is Enthuse however, there are other platforms you can select such as JustGiving. Be sure to select Caudwell Children as your charity. Click here

You can raise funds as part of a group; however, each person must still commit to raising £2,500 each for Caudwell Children.

We have a staged approach to meeting your fundraising target with £2,000 be raised by marathon day. Our Events Team will provide support and guidance.

To apply to a Caudwell Children place, contact the Events Team and request an application form. A member of the team will then be in touch. After receiving a completed application, a member of the team will be in touch to let you know if you have been successful in gaining a Caudwell Children place in the TCS London Marathon.
