To support our exciting development plans, we are now looking to recruit a Volunteer Co-ordinator for our Applications Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a key role for a dynamic, fast moving Charity. You will need to be highly motivated, efficient and enjoy working as part of a fast moving team. You will need to be incredibly well organised, passionate about the work of Caudwell Children and committed to engaging with children and their families throughout the UK.
Volunteers are the backbone of Caudwell Children and without them we would not be able to support the numbers of children that we do. People can make a hugely valuable contribution to the local community while learning new skills themselves and improving their health and wellbeing.
Based in the office you will mentor and train a team of both existing and new volunteers to support the Applications Manager in processing applications for funding.
You will need to be a clear and confident communicator, ideally with experience of working with volunteers and at the same time providing excellent administrative support, ensuring that our systems are accurate and up to date. You will also need to be a strong team player, working closely with colleagues in every department.
The role involves assessing and meeting the organisation’s needs through the placement and retention of volunteers. You will be responsible for managing volunteers and their relationships with those they come into contact with, including employees and our service users.
