Help us build a brighter future for
disabled children - brick by brick
We’re determined to transform the lives of disabled children and every brick counts!
Welcome to our new home!
The doors of the Caudwell International Children’s Centre (CICC) are about to open for the first time, and we can’t wait to welcome children and their families from across the UK to our ground-breaking facility.
The CICC will be the UK’s first independent purpose-built facility dedicated to autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Based in the centre will be the new Caudwell Children Autism Service focusing on assessment, intervention, support and research for children and their families.
We’d love all our supporters to put their stamp on our new home by helping us ‘Pave the Way’ to a brighter future for even more children.
Your brick, your message!
Pave The Way offers you the unique opportunity to invest in the future of Caudwell Children by sponsoring one of the bricks immediately outside our new building, offering the warmest of welcomes for children and their families for years to come.
Each sponsored brick can have 2 lines of text of up to 16 characters per line.
How you choose to personalise your brick is completely up to you. You could honour a friend or loved one, celebrate your business or group, or simply have your own name and show your support for the charity.
Choose your placement
There are three zones around the centre where we’ll be placing these bricks allowing you to choose where your brick is placed: • Premier placement (£500) – Your brick will be placed immediately outside the front doors • Concourse placement (£250) – Your brick will be placed on the general concourse outside the main entrance • General placement (£150) – Your brick will be placed around the perimeter of the building
As well as a brick you’ll also get a keepsake certificate and you’ll be invited to a tour of the centre, seeing first-hand how your donation is changing the lives of disabled children.
Register your interest before 30th April 2018 and be a part of the first phase of instalments.
Help us pave the way to a brighter
future for disabled children!
Can I write anything on the paver? Not anything, but certainly most things! Honour a friend or loved one, immortalise your business, group or association or simply have your own name. Maybe you are celebrating something special in 2018 – a landmark birthday or anniversary – it really is up to you. However, please note that messages deemed offensive, derogatory or negative will be refused.
Who will see my brick? In short, all of the visitors to and service users of the Caudwell International Children’s Centre. Your brick will be outside the main entrance, so it will be difficult to miss. We are expecting to welcome thousands of families to the facility during the 1st year, with many more coming over the years to come.
Who can adopt a brick? Anyone and everyone! Since 2000, we have supported over 25,000 families and been fortunate to receive fantastic corporate support from business across the UK – not to mention the huge number of individual fundraisers and volunteers that have done whatever it takes to help us. We’ve also been supported by a host of sports clubs, associations, grant-giving bodies and funders. We are calling on EVERYONE whose lives we have touched to consider adopting one of our bricks!
What happens once I’ve paid for my brick? We will email you within 24 hours to confirm receipt of your order. You will then have 14 days to notify us of any corrections or changes you wish to make to your message. We will keep you informed of when the bricks will be put in position. We will invite you for a VIP tour of the Caudwell International Children’s Centre AND of course you can unveil your brick!
Where will my brick be positioned? We are beginning with the area outside the main entrance, then working outwards across the main concourse and then around the building. Unfortunately, you can not choose the precise location of your brick. Bricks will be engraved and positioned on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
When will my brick be put in position? We have created 3 zones for our Pave the Way project, and you can choose where your brick goes. The Premier placement option sees your brick immediately outside the main entrance, Secondary placement is on the general concourse at the front of the building, or you could opt for General placement around the perimeter of the building.
What happens if my brick becomes cracked? Caudwell Children will replace any cracked pavers for the first 5 years.
What happens if my paver becomes worn and weathered? The pavers are made from natural materials, and it’s to be expected that over time pavers may become affected by the weather and natural cause. We will not replace any pavers deemed ‘damaged’ in this way.
What if I change my mind about the message on my paver? You will have 14 days to notify us of any corrections and changes.
Who owns the paver? Each paver remain the property of Caudwell Children.
What is the cost of the brick? We have 3 different price points, depending on where your brick in positioned. These are Premier placement (Outside main entrance) for £500, Secondary placement (on general concourse) for £250 and General placement (around the sides of the building) for £150.
Can I pay in instalments? Yes – you can spread the cost of your brick over 6 monthly instalments. Call the Fundraising Team for more details (01782) 600867.
