Stars raise vital funds at luxurious Ladies Lunch
Stars from the world of television, music and theatre came out on Friday 24th November, 2017, to attend a glamorous ‘Ladies Lunch’ that raised vital funds for disable children.
Tom Lister, the actor, singer and performer who’s currently starring in the smash West End musical, 42nd Street, joined forces with JB Gill, who enjoyed huge success with the multiple BRIT and MOBO Award winning boy band JLS, to host the annual Caudwell Children London Ladies Lunch.
The event took place at the renowned Langham Hotel, Regent Street, London.
In the audience, supporting the event, was Angela Griffin, the former Coronation Street actress who has since starred in a number of hit television dramas, including Holby City, Cutting It, Waterloo Road, Lewis and Brief Encounters.
Joining her at the event were Nell McAndrew, the television presenter and model, Michelle Heaton, the former Liberty X singer, former Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford, and former Premier League WAGS Ellen Rivas and Lizzie Cundy.
Funds raised throughout the afternoon will help Caudwell Children to continue providing, specialist equipment, short breaks, Family Services and fully supported holidays to disabled children throughout the UK.
Tom Lister, who rose to fame as arch villain Carl King, in Emmerdale was the headline act whilst Claire Caudwell, former partner of the entrepreneur and philanthropist John Caudwell, spoke passionately to the audience about the charity that Mr Caudwell founded in 2000.
Kerrie Davies, Head of Events at Caudwell children, was delighted with the success of the event. As she explained: “Tom is such a charming performer and he loved having a bit of flirty banter with the ladies. He’s got a great voice and it’s no surprise that he’s done so well in 42nd Street.
“The ladies loved his silky, smooth, crooning and it was beautifully matched by JB’s relaxed delivery as co-host. The pair of them had the ladies in the palm of their hands.”
The Caudwell Children Ladies Lunch is a series of exclusive afternoons of fashion, food, beauty and entertainment where guests enjoy champagne whilst browsing stalls featuring local and national retailers of luxury goods; including handbags, independent clothing boutiques and beauty products.
Guests also enjoyed a raffle, auction and silent auction that contained a number of ‘must have’ luxurious prizes including; the chance to create your own bespoke designer handbag by Aspinal of London, a four night stay at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort in Mauritius, and tea and a private consultation with Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo.
