At Caudwell Children

Caudwell Children offers Occupational Therapy assessments that can help to improve cognitive, physical and motor skills – while also building a child’s confidence and self-esteem.

All Occupational Therapy sessions are child-centred and delivered by our specialist team at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Staffordshire.

Our specialist team of Occupational Therapists work alongside colleagues in our autism service to help children to understand and improve sensory processing.

Our experienced and dedicated clinical team work with families to undertake a holistic and child centred assessment of their strengths and difficulties including behaviour emotional, health and well-being, communication and sensory processing needs.

Getting an Occupational Therapy Assessment – What’s next?

In order to get an Occupational Therapy assessment, you will need to get a referral. Referrals will be accepted with parental consent from any health, social care or education professional that knows the child well. We offer occupational therapy assessments to children aged between 4 and 11.

Assessments take place at the purpose-built Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Keele, Staffordshire.

If your referral is accepted, we aim to offer an appointment within three months.

You’ll need a referral from a health, social care or education professional that knows your child. The referral forms can be found here.

The Occupational Therapy assessments take place at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre, which is designed to provide a calm and peaceful experience to the child and the family during each visit.

The Centre includes a mixture of quiet zones, specialist facilities, sensory rooms and garden, which allow our clinical team to develop a comprehensive profile for each child during their assesment.
