About the pack

Our Occupational Therapy and Support Team have selected key sensory items that offer children a broad range of sensory opportunities, therapeutic benefits and interactive experiences. The pack has been designed to support children living with a wide range of disabilities who are likely to benefit from sensory resources.

OUR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND SUPPORT TEAM HAVE SELECTED CRUCIAL SENSORY ITEMS THAT AID CHILDREN WITH HEARING, VISION AND TOUCH. THE PACK ALSO CONTAINS ITEMS THAT SUPPORT CHILDREN’S COGNITIVE SKILLS AND LEARNING SUCH AS COLOUR AND SHAPE.

The Sign and Singalong Book can support your child with language and emotional skills, gross motor and eye co-ordination and strengthening muscles in arms, hands and fingers and body awareness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You can apply for packs directly
  • You must have a child with a confirmed disability between 0 –3 years old
  • Must legally live in the UK
  • Household income must be below £45,000 per year (before tax, excluding benefits)
  • You can apply for multiple sensory packs
  • Caudwell Children will provide 80% of the cost of each pack (families will be asked to contribute 20% of the item cost, which is £20)

We want to help as many children as possible but we only have a limited number of these amazing Get Sensory Packs available. We may have to prioritise applications and cannot guarantee that everyone will receive a pack. Our promise to you is that we will let you know as soon as possible if you have been successful or if we believe there is another way in which we can help you.

You will be asked to provide confirmation of your financial status and confirmation of your child’s diagnosis. Applying for an Get Sensory Pack will not prevent you from accessing other equipment or support from Caudwell Children services.

Get Sensory Packs 0-3 FAQs

An affordable pack filled with key sensory items selected by our Occupational Therapy and Support Team. The pack has been designed to support children living with a wide range of disabilities who are likely to benefit from sensory resources.

Bubbles, cuddle ball, easy grip ball, soft mirror, underwater light show, natural brushes, sensory tube, shake and match shape sorter, young maestro set, sign and singalong book.

*Reasonable exchanges may be made depending on the availability of items.*

The items within the pack are durable and safe, however all items should be used under adult supervision.

A booklet is provided within the pack which outlines the contents and how each item can be used.

As often as they like. Many of the items are compact so they are suitable for travel or to take outside of the home too.

Caudwell Children will provide eligible families with 80% towards the cost of a Get Sensory Pack. Families will be asked to contribute 20% of the cost, which is £20.00.

The pack was designed with this in mind, many of the items are compact so they are suitable for travel or to take to school. The items also support with cognitive skills and learning, which are useful in both a home and an educational setting.

If items arrive faulty or broken, we will look to replace them through the supplier. If the items are broken or lost, we will not replace them but they can be purchased from the supplier if needed.
