Fudge Kitchen “makes life sweeter” for disabled and autistic children

Fudge Kitchen, the UK’s top luxury artisan fudge retailer, and bespoke producer have created a “special” batch of their popular Triple Chocolate Fudge in support of the children’s charity Caudwell Children.

Instore one of Fudge Kitchen’s six shops including Canterbury, Edinburgh, and York, customers can pay whatever they like for a slice and all proceeds will be donated to Caudwell Children. Emma, who is a team member at Fudge Kitchen nominated the charity because she recently attended an Autism Assessment for her child at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre.

The Fudge Kitchen team are master fudge-makers and constantly come up with delicious flavours, so they selected the Triple Chocolate Fudge to support Caudwell Children for its wide appeal across all ages.

Richard Parson, Brand Director for Fudge Kitchen said “Each year the team at Fudge Kitchen selects a few worthy causes that mean the world to us, from environmental and rewilding projects to social initiatives and global appeal support. This year we asked our teams to tell us about the charities that have supported them so that we could give back in some small way. One of our team members nominated Caudwell Children for the help they gave to her and knew it would resonate with many others.

“Customer response to this, the first of our Caudwell Children fundraisers has been truly heart warming. From families who have been past recipients of the charity’s exceptional work, to those who are currently receiving or searching for support, they’ve shared snippets of their journeys and grateful messages for highlighting Caudwell Children.”

Caudwell Children was founded in 2000 by John Caudwell in Stoke on Trent and has continued to evolve, providing a wide range of practical and emotional support services for children and young people aged 0-24 and campaign to create a more inclusive world for everyone.

All donations to Caudwell Children are used to fund their services which have been carefully developed with the direct input of children and families.

Passionate about providing supporters with complete peace of mind founder John Caudwell, covers the annual administration and management costs through a personal donation.

This means that 100% of direct donations are spent directly on services for children and young people.

Mike Harper, Director at Caudwell Children said “We are extremely grateful to Fudge Kitchen and their fundraising efforts. Every donation ensures that we can continue our vital work and change as many disabled and autistic children’s lives as possible.”

This is just one of Fudge Kitchen’s fundraisers for Caudwell Children, with plans to support the charity once again on 12th May for UK National Children’s Day and again on 20th November in honour of World Children’s Day.

Richard Parsons also said “At Fudge Kitchen it’s a pillar of our business to make life a little sweeter and be a business for good. Small actions have big impacts and where our communities can come together to raise awareness and support a common cause, it can only be a good thing.”

Between 2022 and 2023, Fudge Kitchen has raised £17,140 for good causes and for every order placed over £20 they donate a meal to someone in need via Fareshare.

The Triple Chocolate fudge in support of Caudwell Children is available to purchase in all six of their shops. Approximately 360 slices are up for grabs while stocks last.
