A Vibrant Day of Colour, Unforgettable Fun and Life-changing Fundraising

On Saturday 19th July, Hanley Park was alive with colour, community spirit, and beaming smiles as we brought back our much-loved Colour Runner, and what an incredible day it was, enjoyed by so many who came together in support.

This year’s event was extra special. As part of Stoke-on-Trent’s Centenary celebrations, and marking our own 25th anniversary, we welcomed 169 incredible participants who ran, walked, or wheeled their way around our fully accessible 5km course, all while being showered in vibrant, eco-friendly paint!

Over £7,500 Raised and Counting

Thanks to the amazing support from our community, the event has so far raised over £7,500 and donations are still coming in! Every single penny will go towards providing vital practical and emotional support for disabled and autistic children across the UK.

“We were incredibly excited to bring back the Caudwell Children Colour Runner for our 25th Anniversary and to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s Centenary. Despite the weather, 169 children and their families came rain or shine to celebrate Caudwell Children with 5K of colour explosions! It was incredible to see so many children smiling and laughing throughout the event! Be sure to keep your eyes out for 2026.”
Kathryn Turner-Morgan, Challenges Manager at Caudwell Children

We’re so proud to have hosted an event that brought together families, friends, and supporters from across the city and beyond. Moments like these truly highlight the power of community and the joy that comes from making a difference together.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing sponsors Ken Jervis and Synectics Solutions, whose support made the event possible.

Also, a special thank you to Nuffield Health Gym, Morrisons Leek, SCDC and the Police Cadets.

“Ken Jervis are grateful to have had the opportunity to sponsor, and to be a part of, such a wonderful event. Everyone involved has done a spectacular job with the organisation and the buzz on the day itself was exceptional. We’re proud to have been a part of it.”
David Norwood, Managing Director at Ken Jervis

A Message from the Lord Mayor

We were also honoured to welcome Councillor Steve Watkins, Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, who joined us in the celebrations:

“The Colour Runner was a fantastic event to attend and a brilliant addition to our Centenary celebrations. Caudwell Children do incredible work supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, and the funds raised will go towards supporting more of this amazing work.”

Until Next Time – See You in 2026!

To everyone who took part, supported, donated, volunteered, or simply cheered us on – thank you. You made this day one to remember.

We can’t wait to return in 2026 for even more colour, more smiles, and more incredible impact. Until then, stay colourful!
